1 Peter 2:7-9

⁷So the honour is for you who ^(A)believe, but for those who ^(B)do not believe,

^(C)“The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone”,^[a]

⁸and

^(D)“A stone of stumbling,
and a rock of offence.”

They stumble because they disobey the word, ^(E)as they were destined to do.

⁹But you are ^(F)a chosen race, ^(G)a royal ^(H)priesthood, ^(I)a holy nation, ^(J)a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you ^(K)out of darkness into ^(L)his marvellous light.
